Why it exists
Many Australian hospitals run call systems whose original programming dongles are no longer made. Without one, a failed call point can't be re-addressed and a working one can't be reconfigured. JP-01 speaks the original programming protocol and performs in-circuit programming of the modules' microcontrollers over USB from a laptop or an Edge Node.
With the Edge Node
Displays and input modules on the legacy 485 bus are programmed over the network from the Edge Node's site map; call points on the room loop use JP-01. Together they cover the whole installed base.
