XM-01 — RS-485 module
A DIN-rail Modbus RTU module on the Edge Node's RS-485 port. Cheapest way to add I/O in the same cabinet or along an existing bus run. Powered from 7–36 V DC.
XM-02 — PoE module
The same 8 relays and 8 inputs, powered and connected by one PoE Ethernet cable. Put it where the lights and contacts are — a corridor cabinet, a staff base — with no bus or power run, and leave the node's RS-485 free for legacy displays. It is the Edge Node hardware running in expansion mode, paired to a parent node over the network.
Node configurations
| Modules | 0 | 1 | 2 | 4 | 8 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Outputs / inputs per node | 8 / 8 | 16 / 16 | 24 / 24 | 40 / 40 | 72 / 72 |
Expansion channels appear in the node's web page, messaging rules and MQTT topics as if they were onboard, and are supervised the same way — a module that stops answering raises a fault.
