What it does
- Drives any screen — HDMI to a corridor TV or staff-base monitor, or a browser on a tablet — as a full-screen call board showing live calls, the call type and how long each has waited.
- Keeps working with the network down — the board is served from the appliance itself, not fetched from a server, so a failed switch, a severed uplink or a cyber outage does not blank the screen.
- Dual supervised feeds — it takes calls from the Edge Node over Ethernet and fails over automatically to an out-of-band RS-485 link within a few seconds, and back, showing a NETWORK DOWN — backup link banner while on the backup.
- Fails visibly, never silently — if both the network and the backup link are lost it shows a red LINK LOST state, so staff and maintenance know the board is stale instead of trusting a frozen screen.
- Zero-touch — boots straight into the board with nothing to sign into at the screen, and is managed centrally.
Where it fits
Use it wherever a ward wants a dependable wall display that survives a network or power event — a corridor annunciator, a staff-base board, an isolation indicator. Every Edge Node also serves its own display to any browser on the ward LAN; the Ward Display adds a managed, resilient endpoint with the RS-485 backup for screens that must stay live in an outage. See how Southerly stays up in an outage or cyber attack.
